“What’s stopping you?” Good question. The only thing stopping me from trying is myself. Slateman sprint was my introduction to the world of triathlon, and I was hooked from the word go. My only disappointment was that it was over too quickly!

It’s all about the elusive fourth medal. You’re bound to wake up on the Sunday before marathon with some aching muscles, but getting your time on the red carpet with your 4th medal is worth every second.
Long distance is all about the value for money! It’s a long day and you may as well enjoy it. The atmosphere and support during an ironman is like nothing you’ve ever experienced before. A tough course? Yes. But the support, atmosphere and gorgeous scenery makes it totally worth it.
Having completed a 70.3 Ironman distance and looking to my next, I realised I needed to change my approach to the nutrients going in, before & during this kind of event in future. Gemma provided me with a deeper insight to what was required to fuel the body for such endurance. For me it wasn’t until the run that I found the benefits of all the ‘prep food loading’ kick into action."
